Pasan dos rubias y un grupito de hombres se giran y las revisan de arriba a abajo. Luego de mirarse entre ellos con gesto de aprobación, dejan que se alejen lo justo para que ellas no oigan, sino intuyan, un piropo o algo así.
Mientras, yo espero pacientemente a ver si termina la función y me dejan un huequecito para pasar. A mí no me miran ni aunque les atropelle un pie. Están ocupando totalmente el carril bici y yo soy la única bici.
Por estos carriles circulan muy pocas bicis, casi tantas como por las aceras o la calzada. Sin embargo, a los peatones les atraen poderosamente. Los ves a todos por el sendero de color caminando felices junto a la acera vacía y me acuerdo siempre del caminito de baldosas amarillas del Mago de Oz.
Hay peatones que se apartan perezosamente cuando me ven; otros (la mayoría), no hacen nada y los hay que hasta se indignan. A los primeros, niños y perros los perdono; a los segundos les rozo el dorso del antebrazo con el manillar, acelerando; los terceros intuyen un insulto, aunque no lo oyen.

Stress on the road
Two blondes pass by and a group of men turn over and check them out. After looking at each other in approbal, they let the girls go away far enough so that they can't listen but they feel a flirteous remark or something like it.
Meanwhile I wait patiently to the performance end when the boys will hopefully let me pass through. They wouln't look at me even if I run over their feet. They are blocking the cycle lane and the only bike is me. Few bikes run on these lanes, nearly as much as on roads and pavements.
However pedestrians are intensely attracted by them. You can see them all on the pink lanes walking happily next to the empty pavement and they always remind me of the yellow tiles path in The Wizard of Oz.
Some pedestrian move lazily away when they see me; others (most of them) do nothing and some of them even get offended.
I forgive the first type, dogs and children; I touch the second ones on their arms with the handlebars, accelerating; the last ones feel a kind of remark, but they can't hear it though.
